IM6 Premium vs Enyaq Select 60: Australian family equipment, parking and offer conditions

Compare Australian IM6 Premium 75 and Enyaq Select 60 MY26 for standard seats and cameras, body size, different charging windows and complete local offers.

IM6 for included cabin equipment; Enyaq if the smaller body fits the task better

Start with IM6 Premium when powered and ventilated front seats, four-wheel steering and a 360-degree camera are equipment you will use. Start with Enyaq Select 60 MY26 when a smaller body is important and its manual heated seats meet the task. Try both with the people, parking space and load you actually carry before adding option packages or choosing a monthly payment.

The IM6's equipment list is substantial, but four-wheel steering does not prove that this larger car fits your garage. The Enyaq's shorter, narrower body is a useful dimension to check, not a measured parking victory. Neither has a completed personal driveaway proposal here: the MG cashback is conditional and Škoda's current price references disagree.

Premium 75 and Australian Select 60 MY26 are the actual versions

MG's Australian Premium brochure specifies a 75 kWh LFP battery, rear-wheel drive and 217 kW/450 Nm on a 400 V architecture. It is not the 100 kWh Platinum or Performance with different charging hardware. The configurator offers Premium in Athena White with Highland Grey interior and 20-inch wheels and says Stock Available Now. That is a sales route, not an allocated VIN or promised delivery date.

The Enyaq selected here is the Australian Select 60 MY26 sheet: 63 kWh gross, 59 kWh net, rear-wheel drive and 150 kW/310 Nm. Its current offer and test-drive routes establish an offering, but the model page also labels a MY27 download. Match the actual car to the MY26 document before relying on these figures. Spanish Selection specifications, older Australian model years, 85, RS and Coupé are not substituted.

Compare written local totals before treating the price gap as a saving

MG's public configurator shows Premium at A$60,990 before and A$57,990 after A$3,000 cashback, with NSW private-registration wording. It still requests location and ends with an unfinished total, so this is not our completed postcode-specific proposal. Its driveaway terms include registration, CTP, estimated stamp duty and maximum dealer delivery, with individual circumstances able to change the amount.

The campaign requires eligible sale and delivery between 1 and 31 October 2026 at participating dealers, while stocks last. The cashback covers new and selected demonstrators and excludes fleet, government, hire-car and rental buyers. It is deducted at the point of sale, so do not subtract A$3,000 again. A separate eligible A$500 accessories bonus may instead become a price reduction and is explicitly combinable with IM6 cashback; have the qualifying car, accessory order or price reduction written into the proposal.

Škoda's current model page says from A$55,990, while the MY26 sheet gives A$54,990 manufacturer's recommended driveaway price and the finance example uses A$54,990. We have not resolved that difference for a particular buyer. The recommended amount estimates private registration, CTP, dealer delivery, stamp duty and applicable statutory charges; actual dealer, location and stock conditions vary. Its offer requires sale and delivery by 31 December 2026, while stocks last, and excludes other offers.

Obtain proposals for the same location, registration, build, paint and options. The 36-month finance example with 20% deposit and a final payment is not an alternative unconditional cash price. No contract, stock allocation, personal concession, tax entitlement or ownership saving was established.

Which features are included, and which need an option proposal?

The Premium column lists powered front seats, heated front and rear seats, front-seat ventilation, a heat pump, 360-degree camera and hands-free power tailgate. Four-wheel steering is included. Premium does not acquire Performance's air suspension simply because a review or family photograph shows it.

Select 60 MY26 has heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control with rear vents and manual front-seat height adjustment. Powered driver adjustment with memory belongs to an optional package; front ventilation is absent from the selected column. Area View, head-up display and Canton audio are optional, so do not count those as the base car's equipment or price.

Ask for a demonstration of seat support and adjustment, reversing views, climate controls and your actual phone. Bring any regular co-driver: an electric seat is useful only if the position works, and a manual seat can be entirely sufficient. No comfort, demisting, audio or cabin-software test was conducted for this comparison.

A smaller footprint and a larger quoted boot answer different questions

The IM6 is declared at 4,904 mm long and 1,988 mm wide; the MY26 Enyaq at 4,658 and 1,879 mm. Enyaq is therefore 246 mm shorter and 109 mm narrower on these body figures. Those are editorial subtractions, not mirror-clearance or turning-circle measurements. Check access, door opening and the parking manoeuvre in person rather than assuming rear steering cancels every size difference.

MG declares 665 litres behind the rear seats, 1,640 folded and a separate 32-litre front compartment. Škoda gives 585 and 1,710 litres using VDA. A common method with MG was not established. Folded-seat capacity cannot describe a trip with rear passengers, and front storage is not one continuous rear boot. Try the same pram, luggage and charging cables, check closure and retain the seats you need.

Check restraint installation against the actual seat and anchor layout. A brochure's ISOFIX label or a five-seat description does not establish that three particular child seats fit. Neither vehicle was loaded or inspected for this article.

20 minutes and 24 minutes cover different battery windows

Premium declares 450 km combined WLTP; alternate-cycle brochure numbers are not used to enlarge the comparison. Select 60 MY26 declares 410 km combined WLTP, distinct from 519 km city. These are laboratory references rather than our loaded Australian journey, heat or motorway results. MG's 75 kWh entry is not identified here as usable capacity, so it is not directly divided against Enyaq's explicitly net 59 kWh.

MG lists 11 kW AC, 153 kW maximum DC and 20 minutes from 30 to 80%. Škoda lists 11 kW AC, 165 kW maximum DC and approximately 24 minutes from 10 to 80%. The Enyaq interval covers more of its battery, so the smaller minute number does not make IM6 the faster stop. A maximum rating also differs from average power through the session.

Map the connectors, access and reserve for your own longer journey. For home charging, check the available supply, permissions and installed cost; an 11 kW onboard rating does not create an 11 kW household connection. No matched charging curve, queue observation or energy-purchased test was performed.

Use the Australian grade documents, then test the functions that matter

The current local Premium specification supports the included seats, steering and camera in this comparison. The Australian MY26 Select column supports its dimensions and optional-equipment boundary. A local IM6-versus-Enyaq review establishes a real alternative-shopping relationship, but its Performance and 85 Sportline road impressions do not describe this Premium-versus-Select pair.

Ask both retailers for the applicable vehicle and battery warranty, maintenance, exclusions and the nearest repair route. Confirm which connected services carry later subscriptions rather than assuming every launch inclusion lasts forever. Assistance functions remain supervised; equipment count, corporate relationships and battery chemistry alone do not establish a crash, fault-rate or resale winner. No matched reliability or repair-delay dataset for these exact Australian variants was obtained.

Book the parking and load demonstration before adding a package

Choose Premium when the included seats, camera and steering are useful after demonstration, its physical size works and the complete eligible proposal is acceptable. Choose Select 60 MY26 when the smaller body suits your parking and the actual base equipment meets the household's needs. If you require its optional powered driver seat or Area View, compare that equipped proposal rather than the unoptioned headline.

Expand the Australian alternatives if either fails the task or delivery requirement. This is documentary research using current public HTML read on 20 October 2026 UTC and manufacturer's PDFs retained from earlier reads that day. The body-size differences are editorial arithmetic. No own road, charging, parking, luggage, collision or reliability test was conducted, and no personal driveaway quote was completed.

Questions for the Australian dealer proposals

Does IM6 Premium include the air suspension shown in reviews?
The Premium specification does not include Performance air suspension. It does list four-wheel steering, a 360 camera and powered, heated and ventilated front seats. Check the exact ordered configuration.
Is the Enyaq Select 60 battery 59 or 63 kWh?
The Australian MY26 sheet gives 63 kWh gross and 59 kWh net with 150 kW rear-wheel drive. These are two capacity measures for this version, not the Spanish Selection specification.
Is the current Enyaq price A$54,990 or A$55,990?
The model page shows from A$55,990; the MY26 sheet and finance basis use A$54,990. Their difference and your location-specific price remain unresolved. Obtain a proposal identifying model year, options, charges and delivery.
Can the IM6 A$500 bonus combine with A$3,000 cashback?
The current eligible-offer terms explicitly allow that combination for IM6, with the A$500 usable for eligible accessories or a price reduction. Sale and delivery deadlines, dealer participation and eligibility still apply; do not deduct cashback twice.
Does 20 minutes mean IM6 charges faster than Enyaq at 24 minutes?
MG uses 30-80% and Škoda 10-80%, so the declared intervals are different. No common charging session was measured, and peak power is not average session power.
