Our take
The Geely EX2 is a small electric car sold in China as the Xingyuan. Geely belongs to the private Chinese group that also owns Volvo Cars. It suits city drivers and second-car households who want a low-cost EV for short daily trips. The Complete is listed at $32,990 plus on-road costs, but its 252 km WLTP range is short for anyone who regularly drives between towns. DC charging peaks at 60 kW, so longer trips mean slow stops. Geely's NZ spec sheet is still marked preliminary, so confirm the details with a dealer. The warranty is long and has no kilometre limit for private owners.
