B10 Design vs Elroq SE L60: front seats and the UK quote

Start with B10 for documented electric passenger adjustment and front-seat ventilation; keep Elroq SE L60 in the comparison if its manual seats suit you. Verify the actual order and current saving terms.

The verdict

Try B10 Design BEV first if electric front-passenger adjustment and documented standard front-seat ventilation are priorities. Keep Elroq SE L60 in contention if its manual height and lumbar adjustments suit both occupants and the final specification and quote work for you. The B10 equipment case is clear; superior comfort, Elroq optional ventilation and a current cash saving are not established.

Buy the Leapmotor B10 if

You want the documented six-way driver and four-way front-passenger electric adjustments plus front-seat heating and ventilation, and both occupants find the controls and seating position suitable.

Buy the Skoda Elroq if

You are happy with the SE L60 standard manual front-seat adjustment, verify any requested options on the actual order, and prefer the result of your own seating and control demonstration.

Design BEV and SE L60 are the exact UK comparison

A passenger who adjusts the seat frequently has a more useful first question than which SUV has the longest equipment list: can they reach the controls and find a position they want to keep? The B10 documents a motorised front-passenger adjustment. The Elroq SE L60 documents manual height adjustment and manual lumbar support for its front seats. That is a concrete reason to try the Leapmotor first when electric passenger adjustment is a requirement, without claiming that its seat will fit everyone better.

The B10 selected here is the UK Design battery-electric model with the published 67.1 kWh battery, not the Hybrid EV with an 18.8 kWh battery and petrol engine. Its contract model year and allocated vehicle still need identifying. For Skoda, use the current UK SE L60: the national price list identifies the 61 kWh, 140 kW derivative, with 58 kWh usable in its technical data. Do not substitute an older 60 specification or an Edition or SportLine demonstrator.

Both have national UK routes to configure, request a quote or arrange a test drive. That confirms a retail offer, rather than a particular colour in stock, a build slot or a delivery date. A stock Elroq may have a previous specification; the retailer must identify what is on your order.

Electric adjustment is the difference; comfort remains your decision

Leapmotor's UK specification and current national page list a six-way electrically adjustable driver's seat and four-way electrically adjustable front-passenger seat. They also list heated and ventilated front seats. These are standard-equipment statements for the selected UK model, rather than features borrowed from a Chinese or Australian derivative. They do not establish a memory function, measured cooling performance or a particular passenger's posture. Four-way electric adjustment does not, by itself, identify the passenger seat's exact axes, height adjustment or travel. Those remain unconfirmed: the explicit manual height adjustment in the Elroq must not be read as an equivalent axis or a height advantage for B10. Check the actual movements with the occupant; this is not evidence that B10 lacks height adjustment.

The Elroq SE L equipment page positively lists manually height-adjustable front seats with manual lumbar support. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are also standard. Heating therefore does not distinguish this B10 from this Elroq. The scoped evidence does not settle whether the exact Elroq order could include electric passenger adjustment or ventilation through an option combination. Ask for that combination to be confirmed rather than assuming it is either available or impossible.

Visit with the person who usually occupies the passenger seat. Set the fore-and-aft position, backrest and available height adjustment, then check thigh support, headroom, access to the belt and room for their feet. Repeat after the driver sets their own position. If reaching or operating manual controls is the difficulty, the B10's electric control is worth demonstrating; counting adjustment directions alone does not show that it solves it.

For ventilation, ask to operate the actual system and find its controls with the cabin in a realistic condition. We have not measured airflow, temperature, noise or how quickly either seat becomes comfortable. If the Elroq's manual controls already work well for you, there is no reason to discard it simply for lacking an electric mechanism in its standard schedule.

Try the whole front cabin, including the features both cars already provide

A good seating demonstration continues after you stop moving the seat. Check whether the usual driver can reach the wheel and operate the controls from the chosen position, and whether the passenger can find the heating or ventilation setting without assistance. A feature being listed is different from liking its menus or switches. No software or usability trial was performed for this article.

Both specifications include a heated steering wheel as well as heated front seats. B10 also lists an electric tailgate; SE L's standard schedule explicitly describes a manually operated tailgate. If lifting or reaching the tailgate matters to you, include it in the demonstration and in the order specification. We do not assume a different Elroq package can be added to SE L just because a higher trim advertises one.

Skoda's current materials describe dual-zone climate control. B10 lists automatic air conditioning with a heat pump, but we have not established its climate-zone count from these documents. Seat ventilation and cabin climate zoning answer different needs; neither makes an untested cabin automatically cooler or quieter. Pick the controls and functions that solve your own use, then price that actual configuration.

Separate the B10 PDF's old saving dates from the live offer

The B10 specification still linked on 22 October 2026 UTC shows £32,495 OTR before a £1,500 LEAP-GRANT and £30,995 including it. Its grant footnote limits qualifying orders to 30 September 2026. That printed condition has passed. It cannot, by itself, establish your current eligibility or an unconditional £30,995 cash price.

The live national page has a different time window: its £1,500 manufacturer saving is described for qualifying new B10 orders from 8 October 2025 to 31 December 2026. It is aimed at UK-resident private retail customers, excludes fleet, business and Motability, and is not automatically combinable with other retail offers. Preserve both source wordings. The live term does not make the PDF's old deadline current, and the PDF's deadline does not mean that every current LEAP-GRANT offer has ended. Ask the retailer to confirm the applicable saving and full price on your order.

Skoda's national price list, valid from 1 October 2026, gives SE L60 a recommended £34,295 OTR and £32,795 with the conditional Electric Car Grant deducted. The current national page also lists £34,295. This is a separate grant scheme, with qualifying vehicle, customer and final-price requirements; it is not the Leapmotor manufacturer saving. The retailer must confirm eligibility and the final invoice, including the chosen options.

Do not subtract the two after-saving figures and call the result a cash saving. Nor is a PCP monthly payment a purchase price. Request both cash OTR totals on the same day, identifying paint, accessories, delivery, registration charges and any conditions. If comparing finance, obtain the deposit, term, mileage allowance, fees, optional final payment and total payable separately. We have not established two personal cash quotes, insurance premiums, servicing budgets or resale outcomes.

The Elroq SE L60 price table gives insurance group 23E; a matched B10 insurance group is not established here. Both still need an insurer's acceptance and personal quote. The linked documents list P11D references of £32,440 for B10 and £34,230 for SE L60, each with a 4% benefit-in-kind figure for 2026/27. Those are document references, not a calculation of your tax or salary-sacrifice cost.

A seat preference still needs a workable electric-car routine

These are two battery-electric cars. Before ordering, identify where you can connect, what equipment the offered vehicle accepts and what installation or public charging you would use. A seat package that suits the passenger cannot compensate for a charging routine that does not work at your parking space.

B10's 67.1 kWh declaration has no gross-versus-usable distinction established in this comparison. Elroq's selected technical table distinguishes 61 kWh gross from 58 kWh usable. Do not treat the first number in each description as an equivalent usable-energy measurement. We do not calculate a range advantage or running-cost saving from those capacities.

The current Elroq web page groups several 60 derivatives under a range headline, while the detailed list gives the selected version its own reference. Neither is a road test with these two occupants. This article's recommendation rests on the documented seat equipment, the demonstrated fit and a complete quote, rather than turning a range headline into a comfort or ownership result.

China-side evidence

A UK equipment decision needs UK evidence

B10's name also appears outside the UK, but a foreign trim does not confirm the motorised passenger seat, ventilation, battery or software on a UK order. The comparison uses the UK Design BEV schedule and the current UK Elroq SE L60 schedule. No matched Chinese version has been established for either UK derivative here, and a foreign currency conversion would not answer the UK OTR question.

We have no attributable, matched-model Chinese owner-rating sample to compare these exact orders. An owner's account can suggest questions about posture or controls, but it does not measure this passenger's comfort, predict reliability or settle a UK warranty claim. Ask the local retailers for the current vehicle and battery policies, service requirements and the workshop that would support the car. Equipment presence remains documentary evidence, not a long-term ownership test.

Make the second visit about the order you would actually place

The primary UK pages and linked PDFs were checked on 22 October 2026 UTC. Both PDFs were byte-for-byte unchanged from the earlier research snapshots. The B10 equipment and price footnote were read together; the Elroq SE L standard-equipment page and model-price columns were kept separate from other trims and option packages. The B10 live grant window is recorded alongside the older printed one, without assuming a harmonised cash quotation.

Our recommendation is a documentary shopping judgment. There was no own road test, seat-temperature measurement, passenger-fit trial or comparison of actual ownership costs. Optional Elroq seating equipment, the exact delivered configuration, both contract model years and personal quotes remain open. Ask for those answers in writing, then repeat the useful cabin checks on the vehicle offered.

For the broader model background, read the existing UK B10 overview. This comparison answers the narrower front-seat equipment decision. The next step is a paired cabin demonstration and two comparable quotes; if neither car gives the passenger a workable position, change the shortlist.

Questions before booking the two seat demonstrations

Does B10 Design have an electric front-passenger seat as standard?
The current UK page and linked BEV specification list four-way electric front-passenger adjustment, alongside six-way electric driver adjustment. Confirm it on the allocated car; this does not establish a memory function, the exact adjustment axes or height travel, or prove that the seat fits you. Check its actual movements with the passenger; no absence of height adjustment is inferred.
Does Elroq SE L60 have manual front-seat adjustment?
Its current SE L schedule lists manually height-adjustable front seats with manual lumbar support. Heated front seats are standard too. Optional electric passenger adjustment or ventilation on a particular order has not been established here.
Are the B10 seats proven more comfortable or cooler?
No. The UK documents establish heating and ventilation equipment, not measured comfort, cooling speed or noise. Both usual occupants should try the seats and controls before the equipment list decides the purchase.
Has the £1,500 LEAP-GRANT expired?
The linked PDF limits its quoted saving to orders by 30 September 2026; the current national page separately describes qualifying orders through 31 December 2026. Do not merge the conditions or infer a personal cash price. Obtain the applicable terms with your quote.
Can I compare £30,995 with the Elroq grant price directly?
Those are conditional published references, not two matched personal cash quotes. Confirm the B10 saving and the separate Skoda Electric Car Grant eligibility, options and OTR total before calculating a difference.
