C10 BEV 69.9 vs ARIYA Engage+ 63: family equipment and the UK charging stop

Compare current UK equipment, family access and charging references while keeping expired C10 offers and grant conditions separate.

The verdict

Start with C10 BEV 69.9 when its included comfort and parking equipment serve a real family need and the larger body fits. Start with ARIYA Engage+ 63 when the shorter body and its own heated power seats, heat pump and controls suit the household better. Resolve the complete proposals and charging conditions before ordering.

Buy the Leapmotor C10 BEV 69.9 if

The larger C10 passes the family access and parking trial, and its included features and charging plan justify the completed proposal.

Buy the Nissan ARIYA Engage+ 63 if

The current Engage+ 63 passes the same family trial and its shorter body, actual equipment and complete proposal are preferable.

A shorter shortlist starts with the family task

I would book C10 first when its included ventilated seating, panoramic roof with blind and powered tailgate answer needs the household actually has, and its larger body works at home. I would book current ARIYA Engage+ 63 first when the shorter exterior, its own seating and the way its controls work are a better fit. Neither recommendation is a verdict from a twin road test.

The new UK Engage+ specification matters: it includes heated power front seats and a heat pump, so it is not an unequipped baseline to contrast with C10. It also does not inherit the Advance's 360 camera or hands-free power tailgate. Use the exact ordered equipment; the current Engage+ column is different from Advance.

A family requirement can overturn the equipment preference. Bring the actual child restraints, people and awkward luggage to both cars. Try the same parking approach, passengers and luggage before deciding which body works.

Current UK BEV 69.9 and Engage+ 63 are the two selections

Leapmotor's current UK Electric section identifies C10 with a 69.9 kWh battery and a single advertised equipment level. The UK guide describes rear-wheel drive. The separate Hybrid EV stock-only section has a different battery and petrol range extender; it does not define this BEV.

Nissan currently offers ARIYA Engage+ 63 for configuration and quotation. The MY26 UK brochure linked from its own press kit specifies 66 kWh nominal and 63 kWh usable, a 160 kW motor, front-wheel drive and five seats. This closes details that a range-wide image could not establish. The 87 kWh Advance and older Advance 63 material are different selections.

These are live UK commercial routes, not inspected or reserved cars. Ask each retailer to identify build, model year, wheels, paint, equipment and handover on the proposal. Nissan's current site and guide identify the new version; a legacy search result is not authority to replace it.

Check the tailgate, doors and rear seat with the same load

Leapmotor describes C10 as about 4.73 metres long; the current Nissan guide gives ARIYA at 4,595 mm. The shorter published Nissan body is a reason to test a restricted approach, not proof of better visibility, turning or rear-seat room. Check the door opening and the space to stand beside the child seat, as well as whether the car fits inside the bay.

C10 publishes 485 litres of rear luggage space and 1,645 with seats folded. ARIYA's guide gives 466 litres under the parcel shelf with seats up and 1,350 folded. A common packing procedure has not been verified. Do not make the folded maximum solve a trip where those seats need occupants.

C10's current specification includes a power tailgate and 360 camera. Engage+ has a rear-view camera and front/rear sensors; the powered tailgate and Around View Monitor belong to Advance in this guide. Demonstrate the ordinary shopping and parking tasks on the chosen cars. Try the same parking approach, passengers and luggage before deciding which body works.

263 and 250 miles help plan a route; they do not time the stop

C10 BEV 69.9 advertises up to 263 miles combined WLTP. Nissan publishes up to 250 for current Engage+ 63; the linked guide also retains a figures-pending-homologation caveat. Keep that source qualification rather than upgrading either figure into a guaranteed motorway distance. These are manufacturer WLTP references, not a common loaded motorway or winter test.

Plan the longest trip you repeatedly need, the destination charger and an arrival margin. A small difference between declarations cannot establish whether your particular journey needs an extra stop. Weather, speed, load and the actual state of the battery can change the plan.

The C10 guide and current site use different battery and equipment material from cars offered abroad. Do not substitute a larger overseas battery or a range-extender total for the UK 69.9 BEV. Likewise, the longer-range ARIYA 87 reference does not belong to Engage+ 63.

Keep the unresolved C10 power claim visible

Leapmotor's current Electric tile states 84 kW maximum DC, while the same page's footnote still states 54 kW standard charging capability. We have not resolved that conflict for an identified current unit. Ask the retailer for the applicable technical confirmation before making peak power a reason to order. The published time remains 30 minutes from 30 to 80%, subject to conditions.

Nissan's current Engage+ guide states 130 kW DC and 35 minutes from 0 to 80%, with 11 kW AC and active battery heating/cooling. Thirty minutes from 30-80% and thirty-five from 0-80% are different charging tasks. Neither subtraction nor the two peak declarations produces a measured time saving.

For overnight use, obtain the supply, permissions, installation price and exact inlet/equipment requirements for each car. The C10 UK guide lists Type 2 charging cables; do not treat a cable list as a completed installation. For public charging, include detour, availability, payment and a reachable alternative, not just the largest number on a charger.

The expired Q3 saving does not price an October order

C10's linked UK Q3 guide lists £36,500 OTR before a £3,750 LEAP-GRANT and £32,750 after it, but that grant's order window ended 30 September 2026. The current model page instead advertises £2,750 LEAP-GRANT for eligible UK private orders through 31 December 2026, with stated exclusions. We do not combine the old base price and new saving to invent a current cash invoice.

ARIYA Engage+ currently starts at £35,500 recommended OTR including VAT, VED, registration and a conditional £1,500 government ECG; optional paint and personalisation are excluded. The linked guide prints that same grant-inclusive reference. Obtain two complete current cash proposals; grant eligibility and finance terms stay separate.

The C10 £399 monthly/£999 deposit and Nissan £439 monthly examples are finance offers, not matched ownership costs. Compare deposit, term, mileage, fees and final payment separately. Use your actual energy purchased, tariffs, insurance and servicing; no common depreciation or repair dataset supports a payback or annual-saving promise here.

Engage+ now has its own detailed equipment column

C10's current UK page and linked equipment guide list heated and ventilated power front seats, heated wheel, dual-zone climate, panoramic roof with a powered blind and a powered tailgate. Demonstrate the seat, roof and controls rather than assuming that more functions make the car more comfortable for every occupant.

The newly checked UK MY26 Engage+ guide marks six-way power front seats, heated front seats, heat pump, dual-zone climate, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto and Google-based route planning with battery preparation. Its column does not include the Advance's 360 camera, power tailgate, heated steering wheel or electric driver lumbar. Use the exact ordered equipment; the current Engage+ column is different from Advance.

Both describe driver assistance. Nissan's ProPILOT remains supervised eyes-on/hands-on highway support with limits; no common safety or intervention test was conducted. Obtain vehicle and battery cover and service conditions. Nissan's up-to-six-year headline includes an initial three-year/60,000-mile warranty followed by qualifying service-activated cover subject to the overall limits and exclusions, not six unconditional years.

China-side evidence

Overseas versions and owner stories do not define this UK order

An overseas C10 battery, interface or range-extender experience is not the UK 69.9 BEV. Keep the source market, year and equipment attached to any owner report used to prepare questions. The new Engage+ guide likewise cannot be replaced by an older Advance or a US grade with a similar name.

We have no matched sample of local faults, repair delays, resale results or insurance outcomes for these selections. No foreign owner rating or complaint count is converted into a British prediction. Confirm the deciding equipment and any applicable campaigns on the identified unit before paying a deposit.

Owner reports, complaint records and recall notices from the Chinese market, each with the source and the date we read it. Sample sizes are small; read them as signals, not survey results.

Make the proposal follow the family demonstration

Choose C10 first when the larger body and included equipment deliver a verified family benefit and the confirmed charging plan works. Choose Engage+ first when its shorter body, actual equipment and controls fit better and its complete proposal is preferable. Expand the UK shortlist if either fails a non-negotiable task.

This is documentary research from UK manufacturer sources read on 19 October 2026 UTC, including the newly retrieved MY26 Nissan brochure linked by its UK press kit. The pending-homologation note, C10 DC conflict and expired Q3 grant remain explicit. No CathayEV road, parking, packing, charging, winter-range, crash or reliability test was conducted, and no personal order was placed.

Questions before ordering these UK family EVs

Is the C10 £32,750 Q3 reference the current order price?
Its £3,750 grant window ended 30 September 2026. The current site advertises a different £2,750 saving; obtain a current full cash proposal rather than combining old and new terms.
Does Engage+ 63 have power heated seats and a 360 camera?
The current MY26 UK guide marks heated six-way power front seats and a heat pump. It marks rear camera and front/rear sensors; 360 Around View and the power tailgate are Advance equipment.
Which C10 DC figure is used?
Both current-page claims are retained: 84 kW on the Electric tile and 54 kW in its footnote. No peak-power winner is assigned until the exact unit is confirmed.
Does 30 versus 35 minutes prove C10 charges sooner?
The C10 reference is 30–80%, while Nissan uses 0–80% at 130 kW for Engage+ 63. Different windows and conditions cannot establish a common time saving.
