JAECOO 7 Pure HEV vs Bigster Extreme Hybrid 155: UK family equipment
Bigster for useful roof and rear-seat equipment; Pure if its actual cabin and parking kit fit better. Both list ACC. Close specifications and matched full quotes.
The verdict
Put Bigster Extreme Hybrid 155 first if its panoramic roof, modular roof bars and 40/20/40 rear-seat arrangement are features your family will use. Put JAECOO 7 SHS-H Pure first if its fabric cabin, selected controls and front-and-rear parking sensors suit you better. Both are non-plug hybrids and both list adaptive cruise control. Settle the actual equipment and two complete purchase proposals before choosing; the advertised price bases are not matched.

Start with the family demonstration, not a general value winner
Put Bigster Extreme Hybrid 155 first if its panoramic roof, modular roof bars and 40/20/40 rear-seat arrangement are features your family will use. Put JAECOO 7 SHS-H Pure first if its fabric cabin, selected controls and front-and-rear parking sensors suit you better. Both are non-plug hybrids and both list adaptive cruise control. Settle the actual equipment and two complete purchase proposals before choosing; the advertised price bases are not matched.
A household carrying long items with rear passengers may value a divided rear-seat arrangement differently from one making ordinary school runs. Another may prefer a cabin it can adjust quickly with two regular drivers. Those tasks are more useful than asking which badge supplies the longest feature list.
Neither car requires a home charger for its traction battery. That removes a charging-installation decision, but it does not make fuel, insurance or finance costs disappear. Test the seats, load and controls first, then obtain the exact equipped proposals. We have not driven or loaded these cars together and do not award an all-purpose winner for ride, reliability or running cost.
Conditions behind the five decisions
Try the actual occupants and load; an equipment list does not measure comfort or usable space.
Do not use an older review’s statement that Bigster has no ACC; neither system replaces the driver.
Test the real phone and routine controls while stationary rather than deciding by screen size.
Do not substitute a JAECOO plug-in or a Bigster mild hybrid, and do not infer real fuel cost from peak output.
The difference between these labels is not a verified saving; compare delivered totals and complete finance terms.
Choose Pure SHS-H and Extreme Hybrid 155 by their exact names
The JAECOO selected here is the 1.5T SHS-H Pure automatic, a front-drive full hybrid. It is not the SHS-P plug-in, petrol Deluxe or a higher SHS-H grade. The maker identifies a 1.83 kWh battery and declares 224 PS for this hybrid family; those figures do not turn it into a plug-in with a promised daily electric range.
The Dacia selection is Extreme Hybrid 155, the 1.8-litre full hybrid with an automatic multimode transmission and front-wheel drive. Do not replace it with the manual mild hybrid 140 or the different hybrid 150 4x4 just because all appear in the same range. The current version page and linked brochure identify the selected engine separately.
There are specification discrepancies worth closing in writing. Dacia’s page gives 155 hp with 115 kW, while the brochure’s Hybrid 155 column gives 116 kW. That column’s energy description also says mild hybrid 48V despite a separate 280 V/1.4 kWh battery row and the dedicated full-hybrid product description. We retain those source differences rather than inventing a model change or using the inconsistent label to redefine the selected car.

Bigster Hybrid 155 does have ACC in the current official specification
The current Dacia brochure explicitly lists adaptive cruise control as standard with the Hybrid 155 engine on Extreme. Its grade description and equipment table agree on that point. An older comparison saying Bigster cannot have ACC should not decide this purchase. Confirm the supplied vehicle and have the retailer demonstrate the system and its limits.
Pure’s selected current equipment column also includes adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone air conditioning with a second-row outlet and manual front-seat adjustment. Its fabric seats and 13.2-inch centre display are identified for Pure. We do not add Deluxe’s heated or ventilated seating, powered tailgate or panoramic roof to the entry hybrid.
Headlamp fitment needs particular care. The page’s feature caveat excludes Pure SHS-H from the LED-headlight feature, while an item in the selected list still uses LED wording. Do not order Pure expecting the hero lighting presentation without a written clarification. That inconsistency is not a reason to guess a different fitted lamp or copy an older reviewer’s description as a current specification.

A panoramic roof and a larger touchscreen answer different needs
Extreme’s current brochure includes a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch wheels, modular roof bars, wireless phone charging and Media Nav Live with a 10.1-inch screen. It lists dual-zone air conditioning and rear vents. The powered tailgate is assigned to Journey, not Extreme, so that feature must not be included simply because Journey is another well-equipped Bigster.
We do not close heated-front-seat or heated-steering-wheel fitment on this Extreme order from an older article’s comfort-package statement. If either is essential, have the dealer identify the exact standard equipment or option and its price. A photograph of a seat or a warm-kit claim from a previous specification is not the supplied order.
Pure instead offers the identified 13.2-inch display, six-speaker audio, wireless phone projection and fabric seats with manual adjustment. A larger screen does not establish easier climate control, better phone behaviour or a better seating position. Try the same phone and typical tasks in both stationary cars, and repeat the seat adjustment for each driver. If the roof or charging pad will rarely be used, do not let it outweigh a poor driving position.

Test the folding arrangement with every required passenger seat available
Bigster’s current equipment table lists a 40/20/40 folding rear bench with its Easy Fold arrangement. Pure lists 60/40 folding rear backrests. The more divided arrangement may be useful for an item that can pass through the middle while outer passengers remain seated, but the object, restraints and instructions still decide whether that is appropriate.
JAECOO publishes 500-1,265 litres for its luggage compartment. We have not closed an equivalent selected-build Bigster volume and measurement arrangement here, so do not transfer the 612 litres of an older comparison into a claim that we measured a much bigger usable boot. Nominal litres, folded-seat maxima and five-seat loading are separate questions.
Bring the pram, suitcases or long object that created the shopping task. Adjust the front seats normally, keep every passenger seat needed for the trip and check access to belts and anchors. The modular roof bars are another listed feature to demonstrate, not permission to assume any roof load or accessory compatibility. Follow the vehicle’s limits and confirm the hardware actually supplied.

Full hybrids still need a realistic petrol budget
Both selected cars use petrol and hybrid energy management without an external charging routine. Neither has been selected on the assumption of a plug-in tariff, a home charger or a company-car tax treatment borrowed from a PHEV. If your requirement is electric-only travel over a specific distance, that is a different purchase task.
JAECOO’s material gives a 51.8 mpg reference, while Dacia’s Hybrid 155 technical table gives a WLTP range of 60.1-61.4 mpg across its stated fitments. We do not use those lines to calculate an annual cash saving here: an exact matched configuration, protocol context, real route and current fuel inputs have not all been established. Nor does the higher declared peak output prove better response under your load.
For a useful budget, obtain the actual fuel requirement, insurance and service proposal for each order and use representative consumption on your own mileage. The conflicting Dacia kW and energy label should be resolved as documentation, not converted into a claimed efficiency discovery. A family demonstration and complete contract remain necessary even if a laboratory figure looks favourable.
£29,210 OTR and £28,515 MRRP are not two matched invoices
The current Pure retail offer identifies £29,210 as its OTR cash price. Dacia’s Extreme Hybrid 155 page gives £28,515 as a manufacturer recommended retail price excluding metallic paint. We do not turn the numerical difference between those labels into a verified saving. Ask for each exact vehicle’s complete on-the-road cash total, paint, options, accessories and delivery conditions.
Pure’s current representative PCP advertises 2.9% APR, a 49-month agreement and a 6,000-mile annual allowance. Eligibility, approval, excess mileage and the optional final payment matter. Do not combine the current example with an older monthly figure or infer a precise total by multiplying a rounded displayed payment. Request the full personal schedule and total payable.
The JAECOO campaign covers eligible retail orders from 1 October 2026 until withdrawn, subject to availability and the stated conditions. It does not guarantee allocation or a delivery date. We have not closed an equivalent current Dacia finance proposal, so there is no lease, PCP or depreciation winner here. Value the trade-in separately and compare proposals on the same basis.
Choose the equipment that survives the demonstration and the quote
I would progress with Extreme Hybrid 155 if the roof, divided rear seat and selected included equipment solve practical family needs and the completed proposal is acceptable. I would not reject it on an old claim that it lacks ACC, or buy it expecting Journey’s tailgate and unconfirmed heated equipment.
I would progress with Pure if its actual fabric cabin, controls and parking-sensor arrangement suit the household and its full proposal works. I would require a written lighting specification and keep Deluxe or SHS-P features out of the order. Neither choice is proven by the lower-looking monthly payment or a generic brand comfort verdict.
This documentary comparison uses UK sources checked on 20 October 2026. We have not conducted a joint road, fuel-use or luggage test, and do not rank reliability or crash protection from feature counts. Request applicable warranty and workshop terms for the supplied vehicle. If neither passes the practical checks, browse other buying guides before paying a deposit.

Questions before ordering
- Are these plug-in hybrids?
- No. Pure SHS-H and Extreme Hybrid 155 are the selected non-plug full hybrids. JAECOO SHS-P, Bigster mild hybrid 140 and hybrid 150 4x4 are different selections; their charging or equipment does not complete these orders.
- Does Bigster Extreme Hybrid 155 lack adaptive cruise?
- The current official brochure lists ACC as standard for Extreme with Hybrid 155. An older comparison says otherwise. Use the current selected equipment schedule and confirm the actual vehicle rather than carrying that old omission forward.
- Does Extreme include Journey’s powered tailgate and heated equipment?
- The brochure assigns the powered tailgate to Journey, not Extreme. Heated front seats and steering-wheel fitment are not closed here for the actual Extreme order; have the seller identify any option and its price.
- Is Bigster’s power 115 or 116 kW?
- The current version page gives 155 hp with 115 kW, while the brochure gives 116 kW. Its Hybrid 155 energy label also conflicts with the dedicated full-hybrid description and battery row. We preserve those differences and ask for the supplied specification.
- Is £28,515 automatically cheaper than the £29,210 Pure?
- One is Dacia’s MRRP excluding metallic paint; the other is the Pure OTR cash reference. They are not matched complete quotations. Close paint, options and on-the-road totals, and compare finance schedules separately.
